| Introduction |
 |
WildPresenter
has a very useful player feature that enables
you to output your WildPresenter Flash SWF with
a player automatically.
You can either incorporate the Flash SWF and
the player into a single file, or you can have
two separate files in which the player will load
the output. Depending on what you are trying
to do, you may wish to select either one. Certain
features within WildPresenter are only available
if you use the Use Load External File Play Mode
option. |

|
 |
| There
are two player output options: |

 |
 |
| Include
player while encoding |
 |
By
selecting this option WildPresenter will create
a player automatically during the encoding process.
The default operation is for the WildPresenter
Flash SWF output and the player to be created
in a single SWF in which your Flash SWF output
is embedded within the player. This single, combined
SWF will have the filename you have specified
for your output file in the File tab. Once you
create your video using this option, the output
and the play controls are joined and cannot be
separated - so if you want the output file by
itself for other possible applications, you may
want to use the Use Load External File Play Mode
option.
You may also choose to have a separate player
created that will automatically load the video
you are encoding. |

| Use
Load External File Play Mode |
 |
By
selecting this option, WildPresenter will automatically
create a separate player that will play the Flash
SWF you are creating. Remember that when you
choose this option you will have at least two
SWF files - the player and the output - and you
will need to have both in the same directory
on your hard drive, CD or web server in order
for the player to work properly. When you select
this option, WildPresenter will automatically
fill in an output player name which is the name
of your output with "_player" added
to the end. You may choose to edit this name
if you desire. Next to the output filename field
are two buttons, "Browse" and "Play".
Clicking on the "Browse" button launches
a File dialog box that you can use to select
your output player name and location. Clicking
on the "Play" button will play the
player (which will load your output) once the
player and the output have been created.
The "Use Load External File Play Mode" option
has the advantage of leaving your output file
- without any built in controls or player skin.
You can then use this output file later for other
applications. However, you should be aware that
when you use the Use Load External File Play
Mode option you will have two separate SWF files
that must always be used together for the player
to work.
Another issue to consider is that there are a
few features in WildPresenter that will only
work with a player using the Use Load External
File Play Mode option. For instance, the "Load
at end" option (Flash SWF tab) will only
work with the player output by using the Use
Load External File Play Mode option. |

| Player
skin options |
 |
This
field lists all the player skins you have installed.
You simply click on the player skin that you
would like to use and it will become highlighted,
indicating that this is the player skin you have
selected. The Player skin options lists the name
of the player and the minimum version of the
Flash player required to play the player. For
instance, if the version is 4, the player will
play in the Flash player versions 4 and higher.
WildPresenter players offer the following features:
fast forward, rewind, stop, play, pause, jump
to start, jump to end, mute, volume control,
and a progress bar. However, not all of these
features are available in each player.
- View skin: By
clicking on this button, you can preview
the player skin you have selected. In the
preview mode the controls of the player will
blink and may appear slightly distorted.
This is normal. Once the player is created,
the controls will appear correctly.
Notes:
The players provided with WildPresenter add only
a small amount to the file size. Most are smaller
than 7 KB.
The players will only work with objects that
have been set to play using the Stream play mode.
WildPresenter comes with 11 players. For more
players check out the PowerPlayers, a collection
of 135 players designed to work with WildPresenter's
automatic player output function
