Adding mouse-events, mouseovers and links
This tutorial applies to WildPresenter Pro 2+. Much of it is also applicable to WildPresenter Lite 2+.
Introduction
This is a very basic tutorial to help you get started using the mouse events options that are offered in WildPresenter. WildPresenter contains many features that are not covered here. Instructions on how to use these features are located in the Help file of the WildPresenter program itself. We also offer numerous tutorials on how to use WildPresenter in the tutorials section of our web site.

Getting Started
In this tutorial we will create an advertisement.

Open WildPresenter and enter the project name. The project stage is now ready.
To begin we are going to create three plain text effects to illustrate the features in the Mouse Events tab of the Object Settings window. For this tutorial we'll create 'Play Video', 'Reload' and 'View Our Website'.

We will add rollovers to all and on-click mouse actions to 'Play Video' and 'View Our Site'.

Rollover
Open the Create Text Effects box by selecting Objects>Create Text Effects
Create the 'Play Video' text with black font and a plain text effect. Next, create the exact same text 'Play Video' effect (same font, size) but with a red font color. Repeat this process for the 'Reload' and 'View Our Website' effects.

Click on the newly created red 'Play Video' text; note the name of the file (textEffect00) in the timeline.
Once again click on the red 'Play Video' text and delete it. You delete it because you are going to use this as a mouse-over so you don't need it right now, but you'll add it back later.

Click on the 'Play Video' text to activate it. Open the Mouse Events tab in the Object Settings window.

In the "On Mouse Over Options" section check the 'Add mouse over' box. Click browse and the red text effect will be located in the Source Files folder of your current project.
You should see that if you place your mouse over the 'Play Video' text, it turns into the red 'Play Video' text. This is just a nice way to show viewers when they have activated a clickable area of your project. You could also create this project without mouseovers.

Repeat the same process for the remaining text effects.

Open Webpage
We will now ad a link to the 'View Our Website' text. Click on that text to activate it.

Open the Object Settings window and select the Mouse Events tab. In the 'On Click Options' section check the 'Add on click' box and select the 'Open HTML page'.
Enter in the web address in the URL form. If you wish to specify a browser target, either enter one or select from the drop-down list of most common. The browser target tells the file in which browser to open. The default is for the link to open in the same browser.

Load Flash SWF Movie
We will now format the 'Play Video' so your text to be linked to another Flash SWF file that you specify. It opens the Flash SWF you specify when the Flash SWF is clicked on.

In the 'On Click Options' section check the 'Add on click' box and select the 'Load Flash SWF Movie'. Use the "Browse" button to locate a specific Flash SWF. And you can use the "Play" button to preview that Flash SWF.
For this tutorial we are going to target the SWF into a transparent object (any files that are loaded must be loaded into a target). So we right click on the timeline and select Insert Transparent Object.
To help keep projects organized any file loaded into WildPresenter is automatically moved to the “Load_External_Files” folder.

Jump to frame
When selected, this option will cause your movie to jump to another frame in your movie that you specify when the specified Flash SWF is clicked on.

In the Target field you specify the name of the slide in your project that you want to jump to (if your project only has one slide then that is the only option available).

In the frame field you specify the frame you want to jump to.

Next we'll move all the objects on the timeline to frame 2 (so the jump to frame will jump before anything that appears in the project). Adjust the project timeline so that play begins on frame 2 for each effect.
Click on the Reload text effect, open the Object Settings window and select the Mouse Events tab. Check the Add on click box and click the jump to frame button. Select your target and choose 0 for the Frame number. This will cause the project to start over again (like a loop).
The user can now reload the project when clicking the Reload text button.

Conclusion
You have now created an interactive advertisement which uses the mouse events features in the Object settings window of WildPresenter. You can format and change the dimensions the project if you wish.

To export your finished project select File>Export File.
We have now covered some of the Mouse Events available in WildPresenter. You can do much more with WildPresenter; other tutorials will cover these subjects. The WildPresenter help file also addresses these topics.
