Bring Wildform Flair Flash SWF Files into FrontPage

This tutorial explains how to bring your Flair Flash SWF files into FrontPage.

Sample code to modify

To use your Flair generated Flash SWF files with Front Page, use the <object> <embed> code that you would for any .swf.

Here is a sample:

Change file name (in two places) and width and height (in two places) and background color (in two places) if desired. Copy this code, i.e. everything between and including the object and embed tags.

You can also generate the HTML code using the HTML tab of the Export tab in the Settings window. Just check the Export HTML checkbox and when you export your project, an HTML file with the correct code will automatically be generated .

Inserting code into FrontPage

1. Open the html file in FrontPage where you want to insert your Flair SWF file. (Make sure that this html file is in the same folder as the Flair .SWF file.)

2. Select Insert>Advanced>HTML from the FrontPage Main Menu (Normal Tab).
3. Paste the code above you have copied, paste it into the HTML Markup window, and click OK.

4. Change to the HTML tab in FrontPage. Your HTML code should be inserted into your web page.

5. Be sure to save the page in the same directory as the .swf that you are embedding. Your .HTML and .SWF files must be in the same folder, in order for your Flair movie to play. (FrontPage needs to know where the .swf is before it can display it, and if nothing else is specified it will look in the same directory as the source file.)

6. To see your Flair movie playing, change to the Preview tab in FrontPage.
