Cue Action
There are a number of settings for adding a cue point to an FLV. To enable the cue actions first add a cue point. This will enable you to select one of the three on-click options:
- Open HTML page: When selected, this option will cause a web page (an HTML file) to open when the corresponding cue point is reached. Then you will need to enter a URL in the text field.
If you wish to specify a browser target, either enter one or select from the drop-down list of most common. The browser target tells the file in which browser to open.
- Load Flash SWF Movie: When selected, this option will cause a Flash SWF to open when the corresponding cue point is reached. The specified Flash SWF will open in the target Flash SWF that you specify. You can use the "Browse" button to locate a specific Flash SWF.
In the Flash SWF field you specify the name of the Flash SWF you want to load. You must enter the relative path to where the Flash SWF file is located for any Flash SWF file that is not located in the same directory as the main "parent" Flash SWF that is loading the specified Flash SWF. By default the file is placed in the "Load External Files" folder and the path name to the SWF is in the "Load_External_Files" folder.
In the target field you specify the object you want to load the Flash SWF into. The name of the object is the same as the name that appears in the "Name" field at the top of the Object settings window when that object is selected. You can only load a Flash SWF played with Preload or Load External File play modes.
You may want to insert a transparent swf to load the swf's into. To create a transparent swf, go the Frame 1 on your timeline and right-click. From the right click menu select "Insert Transparent Object." You can position this transparent swf wherever you want, but you should insert it at Frame 1. You can then use this transparent swf as the cue point target. The swf you load will load into the top left corner of the transparent swf.
- Caption: When selected, this option will cause the specified text to display when the corresponding cue point is reached.
In the Target field you specify the name of a blank text box that you have previously inserted into your project. The caption text will use the same font and font size as the text box you specify as the target.
