Using Cue Points to Sync Videos with PowerPoint and Other Files in Flair
Contents
Introduction
Using cue points is a great way to combine your video with your PowerPoint and other files you import into Flair. They will enable you to work with large files without running out of memory and to have more control over your synchronization.

Importing and exporting our PowerPoint file
  1. Import your PowerPoint file. (Under the file menu, select "Import File.")
  2. Export your PowerPoint (under the file menu, select "Export File.") You will be given various export options. Select, "export to separate slides." In this way, each slide is exported to an individual SWF file.

Sync your video with your PowerPoint slides
  1. Before synching your video with the PowerPoint slides you need to insert a transparent swf to load the swf's into. To create a transparent swf, go the Frame 1 on your timeline and right-click. From the right click menu select "Insert Transparent Object." You can position this transparent swf wherever you want, but you should insert it at Frame 1. You will use this transparent swf as the cue point target in a moment. The swf you load will load into the top left corner of the transparent swf.

  2. Sync your video with the PowerPoint slides by right clicking on the video and selecting “edit cue points”.

  3. Then create cue points for each slide and add the SWF. This will load the SWF of each PowerPoint slide. This is described here: http://www.wildform.com/support/tutorials/flair/HowToUseFLVCuePoints/
