| Making
a Slideshow with Wildform Flair |
This
tutorial explains how to build a simple slideshow
with an audio soundtrack in Wildform Flair. We will be using the Slideshow wizard to build this slideshow.
Open
Wildform Flair and when the start screen appears,
click "Create a slide show." (You may also launch this slide show wizard from the Shortcuts tab in the Settings Window or by selecting the Slide show wizard under the Wizards menu.) |
| We will label this
project, "NASA Slideshow". |
| The next screen of the slide show wizard will open and you will be asked if you want to add a title slide. We will check yes and click "Next". |
| In the Message box we will type, "NASA Slideshow". If you want to change the font and color of the message you may do so in this window. We will leave it as is. We will also keep the "Add click to begin playing" box clicked, and the "Add text" box, which instructs the viewer that they need to click the screen to start the slide show. Checking this box adds "Click to play" text. Click "Next". |
| In the next window we will add the images we want to include in our slide show. You may either drag the images into the window, or browse for files using the Add button. You may also batch add files by using the Explore button, or dragging them into the wizard. Click the Next button. |
| The next window asks you to select your settings. If you select "Automatic" the entire process will be done for you and there is nothing more to do. If you select "I will choose my settings" you will be prompted to make a number of selections as the wizard continues. We will select "I will choose my settings". |
| In the next window you can choose the target project framerate to use. The default is 30 and will will use the default and click Next. |
| In this window you choose the maximum project dimensions. The default is 800x600. If you select the "Shrink to smallest dimensions" box, the wizard will resize your project to the size of your imported files and will crop off extra space at the top, botto, and sides of the project. The Border Width lets you change the number of pixels at the top and sides of your project. You may also change the background color for your project in this window. |
| In the next window you can choose the image quality for your imported images. The default is 75. |
| In the next window you can choose whether to add audio to your project. The default is no, but we are going to click the "Yes" button. |
| In the next window you may add audio, either as a SWF or an MP3 file. If you use SWF audio the audio will preload and it will be embedded in your project. If you use MP3, the audio will stream and the audio file will be in the "Load_External_Files" folder. You will need to distribute the "Load_External_Files" folder with your project. |
| In the next window you can choose whether or not to add a preloader to your project. These preload a specified amount of the project before playing begins and display a "_% loaded" indicator. |
| In the last window you will be asked whether or not you want to loop your slideshow. We will select "No". Then click the "Finish" button. |
| The wizard will now compile your slide show and play it. You have now completed a slideshow using the slide show wizard. |
